Maura Raburn

Maura Raburn has developed datacenter and passive optical network optics as a Photonic Device Engineer and Optics Technologist at Google. Her specialties include device and module reliability, and III-V laser, photodiode, and photonic integrated circuit design and fabrication. Previously, Dr. Raburn developed and drove world-leading integration-scale commercial photonic integrated circuits across development, integration, reliability, and component engineering teams at Infinera. As a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Post-doctoral Fellow at University of Tokyo, she designed, fabricated, and published on bistable multi-mode interference flip-flop lasers. She has a BS in Applied Physics from Caltech and an MS and PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Indium Phosphide photonic integrated circuits. Dr. Raburn has authored numerous papers and served on technical programs for various conferences, including OFC, IPR, and IEEE Photonics.
